For my job searching friends:

I’d like to introduce Worksheet, the job search spreadsheet. It’s a real Excel 2000 spreadsheet that plugs into Indeed.com‘s
search engine to make your job search look like actual work. So you
type in your search keywords, the city you’re looking in, and the
number of results you want, and it gives you what, to the untrained
eye, is just more spreadsheet drudgery.

Amazon is going "On Demand".

Amazon’s purchase last week of CustomFlix, a Santa Cruz,
Calif.-based company that produces and sells independently produced
DVDs, follows closely on its buying BookSurge this spring. BookSurge
prints books on demand.

Freemind is a nice "Mind Mapper".  Basically it lets you easily link ideas in a file in a somwhat free form way.  I use it.

A mind mapper, and at the same time an easy-to-operate hierarchical
editor with strong emphasis on folding. These two are not really two
different things, just two different descriptions of a single
application. Often used for knowledge and content mgmt.

The Brilliant Button Maker is cool for just that, making buttons.

The "80×15 brilliant buttons", also known as "antipixel buttons" or
"badges", are the very popular buttons especially used by bloggers,
take a look at the examples on the left.

Nissan is bringing the curb feeler into modern times.  They are using car mounted cameras to build an overhead view of what is going on around you.

Cameras mounted at
the front and rear and on both sides take pictures of the surrounding
road surface, which are synthesized by an image processing technique
into one view that is shown on a central display.

From the Racoon City Times?  Slashdot’s thread on as they put it "Zombie Dogs" (I typed Zombie God the first time, which I am sure means something) is more interesting than the original article.

U.S. scientists have managed to revive dead dogs to life, by using a technique similar to cryogenation, in which the dogs’ blood was drained and replaced by a cold, saline liquid.
A couple of hours, their blood was replaced, and an electric shock
brought them back to life with no brain damage. The technology will be
tested on humans within the next year.

Nokia has a new PAN "sociable application"
for their phones.  It looks like it would be cool if more people
had Nokia phones, where smart enough to use the software, and would
simply come to my house.

Nokia Sensor is a spontaneous, sociable application for spontaneous,
sociable people. With Nokia Sensor you can create your own personal
pages – called a folio – on your phone. Then you can check out the
folios of other Sensor users nearby, exchange messages, and share
files.

Zug.com has a nice article telling you which aphrodisiacs not to waste your money on

Although I am happily married, I felt the world needed to know whether
these aphrodisiacs really work. And I am the perfect test subject,
since I have never once aroused sexual desire in any female. Thus, I
undertook my most noble experiment yet:
testing various aphrodisiacs, and reporting on their effectiveness.
