This is hybrid screen/graphics tablet which makes me drool. The price however makes me weep, £2000ish for the 20” version. They also do a thing called the PL at 17” for a more reasonable £500ish. Occasionally they appear on the site in their bargain basement ex-demo section. Still hard for me to justify though.

Unlike other bid management software, it is EXTREMELY flexible in its formatting, which has let it survive with virtually no changes to the web-page extraction code over the last two years of eBay’s constant fluctuation of formatting. One more small change was necessary to support the eBay Stores items, since they don’t have any start dates, or number of bids. In general though, these were all very easy changes because of the structure of the program.

The widescreen one from Staples is nice.  It took a little work to get my PC to run its native resolution (1440×900), but I did get it going.  I even got it going on my ancient DualHead G450 card.  If it pops up again, go for it.

The non-widescreen one is DVI and has speakers, which are nice features.   The stand also feels a little more solid.  They both feel short compared to my Dell, but some books (and a pile of comic book backs) fixed that. 

The Office Depot deal also came with some freebies.  A cheap purse, a little portable electric cooler/heater that's about big enough for two drinks, and a cheap mp3 player.  All in all I wouldn't have paid for any of them, but for free… 

So, I'm sure both deals will come back.  If so, get the widescreen if you want a widescreen, get the other if you need DVI and cheap speakers.
