Mega-rich paying top price for luxury submarines

Writing by Chris on Friday, 20 of July , 2007 at 7:38 am

I would much rather have one of these than a super yacht.

“Everyone down there is a wealthy eccentric,” says Jean-Claude Carme, vice president of marketing for U.S. Submarines, a Portland company that custom builds submarines. “They’re all intensely secretive.” Who owns the estimated 100 luxury subs carousing the Seven Seas mostly remains a mystery. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen warned his boat builder that loose lips sink ships.

Billionaire sought secret lair for sex, drugs, complaint says

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 18 of July , 2007 at 10:23 pm

What’s the point of being crazy rich if you can’t do this kind of thing?

But there was more, according to a claim made in court documents: plans for a “secret and convenient lair” with hidden entries for Nicholas to indulge his “manic obsession with prostitutes” and “addiction to cocaine and Ecstasy.”

F*** Harry Potter: the first chapter of CROOKED LITTLE VEIN now available for your perusal.

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 7:58 pm

Warren Ellis posted the first chapter to his new novel. I already preordered, because I am a sad fanboy. Below is the first paragraph.

I opened my eyes to see the rat taking a piss in my coffee mug. It was a huge brown bastard; had a body like a turd with legs and beady black eyes full of secret rat knowledge. Making a smug huffing sound, it threw itself from the table to the floor, and scuttled back into the hole in the wall where it had spent the last three months planning new ways to screw me around. I’d tried nailing wood over the gap in the wainscot, but it gnawed through it and spat the wet pieces into my shoes. After that, I spiked bait with warfarin, but the poison seemed to somehow cause it to evolve and become a super-rat. I nailed it across the eyes once with a lucky shot with the butt of my gun, but it got up again and shat in my telephone.

YouSendIt launches standalone uploader for sending large files

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 7:40 pm

YouSendIt is useful, and a standalone app makes sense.

Luckily YouSendIt has launched a new standalone application for emailing large files without a browser. You’ll need an account to send files, but registration for a basic account is free. Paid users can send larger files.

WELCOME BACK, POTTER

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 7:36 pm

I think Kotter would have made a good teacher at Hogwarts. The idea of this visit was much funier than the implementation.

harry potter returns to hogwarts to teach a whole new breed of student.

Jon Lovitz beats up Andy Dick - The Superficial - www.thesuperficial.com

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 6:49 pm

Andy Dick deserves and ass kicking in general, but making fun of Phil Hartman? He should be dead.

Jon picked Andy up by the head and smashed him into the bar four or five times, and blood started pouring out of his nose.” Lovitz told Page Six, “All the comedians are glad I did it because this guy is a [bleep]hole.”

Fall Preview

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 7:10 am

There are some weird shows coming this fall. The Geico Cavemen got their own show for he love of God! And there is a show where 40 8 to 15 year olds are abandoned in a old gold rush town to run it on there own.  Its better than getting 5 more “What About Jim”’s though.

We’ve just about memorized this fall’s network schedules, and we’re stoked about all the awesome new shows coming our way. We knew you’d want the early scoop on those great new series, so we scored a slew of video clips for you to check out now. Take a look, let us know what you think, and get ready for some killer fall TV!

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and the secret to life

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 17 of July , 2007 at 7:08 am

Even after seeing this movie a thousand times I still love it, so maybe there is a point in there.  Maybe it does hold all the answers.

Have a rich buddy
Like Cameron. They can pay for stuff and usually own cars, boats and holiday houses down the coast and sometimes sport drug addictions you can coat-tail off.

All good if you ask me.

E3 2007 - Spider-Man: Friend or Foe Revealed

Writing by Chris on Monday, 16 of July , 2007 at 3:12 pm

I’m ready for a new Spidey game that isn’t just a sad rehash of the last one (I’m looking at you Spiderman 2 and 3), and this one has Iron Fist, so I’m in.

Some problems are just too big for one hero to handle and in Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, the Wall-Crawler must enlist the help of several trusted allies–and even a cadre of his deadliest enemies–to embark on an epic adventure, complete a worldwide quest and defeat an unimaginably evil villain.

About Me

This is it. I'm not looking to become an Internet star, or buy a house off by adsense moneyz. Though I am willing to go with the flow on either.

You may have noticed that I am not a graphic designer. Or a real programmer. Or race car driver, though that may not be as obvious from the site itself. I apologize for any mistakes, ommisions, or eye gouging graphics choices I may have perpetrated on anyone through ths page
