Finally, a useful website.
GetThemLaid is a new site where you can post a description and pictures of your friends who really need to, well, have some real world social interaction.

I don’t know about all this “Best UK zombie movie” nonsense, but this could be good.
In addition to providing us with their thoughts, they’ve also cut together a trailer for The Zombie Diaries exclusively for Dread Central! For those wondering, the film takes place after a zombie outbreak has decimated the world’s population and follows a group of survivors trying to make it through alive. What makes this Zombie Diaries unique is that it’s been broken up into a Pulp Fiction-esque timeline that serves to keep things interesting to even the most jaded viewer.

Bet it will be like that crappy “Ninja Warrior” show on G4.
The 10 finalists are expected to receive professional training
at Jackie Chans JCE Entertainment Ltd. They will star as lead roles in
several upcoming movies produced by Jackie Chan.

It starts out all sunshine and lollypops, and then jumps right to “I bet they use Chinese children chaned to sewing machines to get that price point.”
A good quality pair of basketball shoes endorsed by an NBA player and selling for only $14.98? Virtually unheard of, right? Not thanks to Stephon Marbury, the New York Knicks point guard who launched his line — Starbury — of affordable basketball shoes back in September. His flagship style, “The Starbury One,” was so successful with kids and parents alike that he has released another pair, “The Starbury Two,” this week. Ben Wallace of the Chicago Bulls has joined in endorsing the shoes as well.

I had never heard of this book before seeing an article on the movie. Now I have to track the book down. Go check out the preview of the first few pages at the link below.
The astonishing story of the incomparable Rex Libris, Head Librarian at Middleton Public Library, and his unending struggle against the forces of ignorance and darkness. With the aid of an ancient god who lives beneath the library branch, Rex travels to the farthest reaches of the galaxy in search of overdue books.

I’d buy that.
“It’s set in the 1920s and BB Wolf is a poor farmer/blues guitartist and singer. His family is being oppressed by, you guessed it, these three brothers who are some pretty mean little piggies. The story parallels a lot of our country’s unfortunate history of the mistreatment of Black America in the South of that time. It’s a commentary on racial prejudices and ruthless greed… all done with a wicked twist that I really dig!â€

Good stuff. She may not know irony, but she knows humor.
