I’ve been thinking about getting a 360. Maybe I’ll wait and either by the elite, or buy a used while one when people start dumping them on eBay and trading them in at Gamestop.

Usually I would be against adding unneeded graphics to the Google homepage, but I dig these.

The theme is actually an XML that contains a list of CSS files. Google says that the “theme will dynamically change to match your time of day, including local sunrise and sunset times”, so you have to enter your location. If you look in the XML, you’ll notice a lot of references to the weather, so it’s likely that the theme will change depending on weather, as well.

There’s a pretty impressive challenge out there in the comics community. Lurking Rhythmically started writing a few stories about familiar comic characters if they were written by various authors. Here are a few:

• Batman, as written by Chuck Palahniuk
• Dr. Strange, as written by Hunter S. Thompson
• A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Pernicious Punishment (The Punisher as written by Lemony Snicket)
• The Swamp-Thing by H.P. Lovecraft

There is a full trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World’s End. It looks like a lot of fun.

I’d drive that.
