Add music and movies to your iPod from any computer without iTunes

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 20 of February , 2007 at 5:33 pm

I don’t mind iTunes, but I tend to use my ipod on about 4 machines. I used Yamipod for a long time with my regular iPod, but I couldn’t find anything that let me go both ways with video.

f this idea sounds familiar, it may be because I wrote about it last year in the form of the self-sustaining iPod. Since then, there have been a lot of changes on the portable, self-sustaining iPod front, and the landscape for leaving iTunes in the dust is brighter than eve

Home Solar Panel System - The Citizenrē Corporation

Writing by Chris on Monday, 12 of February , 2007 at 11:38 pm

I thought this was interesting.  The company installs solar panels on your house, and just charges you for the power you use, at the same rate as your local power company.  If you sign a long term contract, and your power company ups their price, you stay locked in at the old rate for your solar array.

In a nutshell, our FRA allows you to rent a REnU based upon the amount of electricity it generates for you: you no longer have to make a huge investment in the solar power equipment. And since the REnU’s fuel supply (sunlight) is free and very little maintenance is required throughout its life, Citizenrē will rent this to you at a fixed-rate for what ever contract period you sign-up for. The fixed-rate is equal to your utility’s retail electricity rate at the time of signing an FRA.

The Citizenrē Corporation

Update: Got some feedback about these guys in the comments.  It sounds like these guys aren’t as big a deal as they seem.  Disapointing.

CitizenRe currently has no systems installed. They publicly state that
they will not install any until September 2007 (date may have changed
in the last few days). However, they also do not have a manufacturing
plant (no date for ground breaking either), they have actually not
raised the $650 million of capital they refer to, and their projected
numbers of systems to be installed versus projected manufacturing
capacity do not add up.

The science of Godzilla

Writing by Chris on Monday, 12 of February , 2007 at 10:59 pm

Where was this info when I was in college? OK, its theoretically possible this was covered on the few days I missed class, like say, 1997 for example.

How does Godzilla generate radioactivity? Apparently its stomach has mutated into a new organ: the plasma gland. Radioactive particles rise from here to be expelled via the mouth during combat, and excess radioactivity is also passed into the dorsal scutes at the same time ‘not unlike the overflow guard in your ordinary bathtub’, apparently (according to here: this is where the adjacent image comes from). Thanks to its plasma gland, Godzilla continually generates new radioactivity as a source of power, discharging the excess via the scutes and a duct leading to the mouth

DC May Solicits

Writing by Chris on Monday, 12 of February , 2007 at 5:37 pm

DC just isn’t getting me as excited as Marvel lately.

Batman #666 - Written by Grant Morrison (good combo, Morrison and isuue 666)

Meet Damian Wayne, the Batman of Tomorrow in this
special issue set 15 years from now in a nightmarish future Gotham! In
a world torn apart by terrorism, plagues, rogue weather and bizarre
super-crime, only 24 hours are left before the climactic battle of
Armageddon — and only one man who might be able to stop it.

But will he?

The Son of the Bat meets the Prince of Darkness and the stage is set
for the ultimate battle between evil and moral ambiguity. Can Damian
make peace with his heritage to save the world? Find out in BATMAN
#666, “Numbers of the Beast.”

The Batman Strikes #33
The cartoon has been growing on me.  Its still no Batman the Animated Series, or Batman Beyond, but its not bad.

Poison Ivy’s figured out the perfect way to get Batman
out of her way…make The Batman into a Batboy! A now-young Bruce Wayne
will have to fight alongside Batgirl and Robin through Poison Ivy’s
plant army and puberty!

About Me

This is it. I'm not looking to become an Internet star, or buy a house off by adsense moneyz. Though I am willing to go with the flow on either.

You may have noticed that I am not a graphic designer. Or a real programmer. Or race car driver, though that may not be as obvious from the site itself. I apologize for any mistakes, ommisions, or eye gouging graphics choices I may have perpetrated on anyone through ths page
