The Rock, Stamp get ‘Smart’

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 17 of January , 2007 at 8:50 am

I wanted to see this anyway, just from Carell, but now this movie is looking better and better.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Terence Stamp are set to join Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in “Get Smart.”

Tony Stark has hired his secretary! Pepper Potts cast in IRON MAN! Confirmed!

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 17 of January , 2007 at 8:42 am

I can’t say its a character I really care about, but I guess it works. Its almost starting to feel like there are too many “Names” in the movie though.

Pepper Potts will be… Gwyneth Paltrow. So, we have Robert Downey Jr as Stark, Terrence Howard as Rhodes and now Gwyenth Paltrow as Pepper Potts.

You’re not my daddy

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 16 of January , 2007 at 6:39 pm

I can’t imagine a person less likely to be on MySpace than Alan Moore.

leah_moore_comment.jpg

In a surreal moment that probably sounds more like something out of a Grant Morrison comic than an Alan Moore one, Leah Moore leaves comments on her “father’s” MySpace page, while her flesh-and-blood father, who doesn’t even have an internet connection, watches over her shoulder:

Clooney, Others Develop SCI FI Shows

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 16 of January , 2007 at 5:02 pm

SciFi has a few interesting shows coming, including an adaptation of “The Diamond Age“.

When a prominent member of society concludes that the futuristic civilization in which he lives is stifling creativity, he commissions an interactive book for his daughter that serves as a guide through a surreal alternate world. Stephenson will adapt his novel for the miniseries, the first time the Hugo and Nebula award winner has written for TV.

Wii Sports Experiment, Results!

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 16 of January , 2007 at 11:21 am

After trying the Wii, I can believe this.

Six weeks ago, I began what has become a huge obsession of mine. It is called the “Wii Sports Experiment” (Read my original announcement of this from Early December ‘06). I outlined a 6 week game plan for myself, the idea being that I would continue ALL normal activity and eating habits, and simply add 30 minutes of Wii Sports to my day. For the past month and a half, I’ve stuck to these guidelines very strictly.

Netflix, I Was Just Kidding About Breaking Up With You

Writing by Chris on Tuesday, 16 of January , 2007 at 10:04 am

If they get a big enough library available I might go back to Netflix.

This morning, a select number of Netflix’s 6 million subscribers will have access to a new Watch Now product that will stream television shows and movies to a Windows PC. The remaining members will be given access over the next six months. About 1,000 movies and tv shows will initially be available (including some hits - NBC’s “The Office” is included, for example). Studios contributing to Netflix’s new service include NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, MGM, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Warner Brothers, Lionsgate and New Line Cinema.

The best part - it’s free.

The Rakku, A Rolodex For Your Shoes

Writing by Chris on Monday, 15 of January , 2007 at 10:50 pm

Men’s 10.5? Who is this for 4th graders? Or is it just me?

It’s a 30 inch by 12 inch wheel with 20 different compartments, each one closed off by a series of elastic bands. It can hold up to 30 pairs, depending on size. You insert your shoes in each compartment

Comicjobz.com launches

Writing by Chris on Monday, 15 of January , 2007 at 10:22 pm

I’m shocked something like this didn’t exist already.

The site is designed to gather people looking to hire and find comic and graphic design jobs of all types to one central location and make the process as hassle-free as possible. Working in the comic and design industry, Charles has experienced the struggles associated with the searching for employment while still working to meet deadlines.

About Me

This is it. I'm not looking to become an Internet star, or buy a house off by adsense moneyz. Though I am willing to go with the flow on either.

You may have noticed that I am not a graphic designer. Or a real programmer. Or race car driver, though that may not be as obvious from the site itself. I apologize for any mistakes, ommisions, or eye gouging graphics choices I may have perpetrated on anyone through ths page
