I've been bored before, but this…
The best art since sliced bread? Gavin Harper, our mate who has written articles on Build Your Own Band Aid Fuel Cell, Make a Geodesic Dome, and a number of cool tech books, met up with acclaimed "Toast Artist" Lennie Payne, who gives MAKE: readers some insight on how to make art from toast…

Linked only for the title.
A teddy bear has been implicated in 2,500 deaths. Of trout, that is. State officials say a teddy bear dropped into a pool at a Fish and Game Department hatchery earlier this month clogged a drain. The clog blocked the flow of oxygen to the pool and suffocated the fish.

AHHHHHH!!!!!!
The Fembot of Vanessa Kensington from the motion picture, Austin Powers 2, "The Spy Who Shagged Me". This silicon puppet weighs approximately 30lbs and is the original that was used in the movie. All silicon skin with a fiberglass plastic shell interior for the face. Face is wired with lights inside the eyes and mouth area. Works with a 9 volt battery. Punched hair. Also, there are holes where the nipples would be. "

I just love the title "Up, Up and Oy Vey!". The article didn't really have much to say.
That insight, among others drawn from Rabbi Weinstein’s study of the classic superhero comics, infuses a new book, “Up, Up and Oy Vey!” The volume, which has nearly sold out its first run of 5,000 copies, contends that writer-artists of the classic comics, many of them Jewish, were influenced by their religious heritage in devising characters and plots.

What they forgot to mention was that the series is not very good. The conept is interesting, but the implementation was weak.
IESB can exclusively report that Sam Raimi has just penned a deal with Dark Horse Entertaiment and Josh Donen to produce ArchEnemies, a Dark Horse Comics release based on two roommates who as their costumed alter egos are mortal enemies.

I’d love to be outraged, or make fun of the list, but it looks about right to me. I don’t know any black guys named Connor or any white guys name Malik.
What are some of those names? Here’s a list from the book “Freakonomics,” by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, showing the top 20 whitest- and blackest-sounding girl and boy names.

Good news on Richard Hammond. Sounds like the future of the show is still shakey though.
IN the wee small hours of Thursday night, just 30 hours after what is almost certainly the world’s fastest ever car crash, Richard Hammond suddenly sat up in bed, opened his eyes and asked what had happened.
“You’ve been in a car accident,” I said. “Was I driving like a tw*t?” he asked, before getting out of bed and walking, shakily, to the lavatory.

The cinematography looks great, but I stil don't know if I am up for a 2 hour movie with just about no dialogue.
It's a unique, challenging, visually beautiful and harrowingly violent piece of filmmaking — and I definitely look forward to seeing the movie again, once it's been polished in post-production and trimmed down just a bit.
