I admit it. I'm an Iron Fist fanboy. I'm excited about the new series.
Fraction: "I think the Awesome was missing, honestly. He's one of those characters that, to me, has it all going for him: killer back story, awesome powers, cool milieu and great alter-ego… the genetic makeup of the character is all there, I think. I mean– rich single billionaire playboy infused with the power of ancient mystical kung fu ass-kickery and a street-level POV? What's not to like? He's the perfect comic book character.

OK, so in one of those 6 degrees of pop crap moments I ended up going from Eureka (great show) to Special Unit 2 (enjoyable crappy show) and then to a stop off at The Chronicle (which was worth a watch). Man I watch a lot of bad tv.
Eureka
The sleepy Pacific Northwest town of Eureka is hiding a mysterious secret. The government has been relocating the world’s geniuses and their families to this rustic town for years where innovation and chaos have lived hand in hand. U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) stumbles upon this odd town after wrecking his car and becoming stranded there.
Special Unit 2
With the exception of vampires, every monster from folklore and mythology is a missing link between apes and humans, and they all seem to love Chicago. To combat the threat, Chicago PD formed Special Unit 2, known to the rest of the department as a deep-cover plainclothes unit they should steer clear of, to hunt them down and eliminate them.
The Chronicle
Believe Everything. And we mean everything. That's what down-on-his luck journalist Tucker Burns learns when he takes a career detour to join the staff of one of the world's least reputable tabloids – The World Chronicle. Tucker soon discovers that everything The Chronicle writes about, under the guidance of his mysterious boss Donald Stern, is 100% true. Teamed up with photographer Wes, and occasionally aided by fellow reporter and alien-abductee Grace Hall, Tucker investigates strange but true stories of ghosts, dragons, rejuvenation clinics, mermaids, and more.

Not a lot of stuff for anyone already familiar with Bittorrent, but there are some good tips to get you started.
Here’s a roundup of some of the how-to articles that appeared on torrentfreak over the past few months. Might be useful to some of the new readers.

I see this as the perfect fill in for those times when you can't search for porn at work.
The two-piece shuriken (throwing star) is a simple model that takes 2-5 minutes to make.
Two 3" x 6" (8 cm x 16 cm) rectangles make a 3 1/2 " x 3 1/2 " (9 cm x 9 cm) flat model.

I thought the name sounded familiar. I've read one of these books. It wasn't bad. I could see it working as a TV show.
Based on the best-selling series of novels by Jim Butcher, The Dresden Files pilot, written by Beimler and Wolfe, tells the story of Harry Dresden, a Chicago-based private detective with extraordinary abilities. Where others see typical crimes of assault, kidnapping and murder, Harry sees otherworldly forces at work. He's a wizard, the real thing, the only wizard listed in the Chicago yellow pages.

This sounds horrible. I like the "Snakes on a Plane" reality show suggestion though.
Wedding Crashers will follow a group of improv actors as they crash actual weddings — in a good way. What? Well, rather than imposing on and embarrassing the bride and groom, the actors will make the weddings more fun for the parties, contributing memorable stunts and pranks much like Wilson and Vaughn do in the first 20 minutes of the movie."

This has to be a joke.
Update:
Here is another link with more pics from the movie.
More robot designs from Transformers have slipped out, these of the evil leader Megatron. I absolutely hate it as a Transformer design, but love it as the alien rapist in an anime porn.

Comic Book Resources has an early review of 300, and they like it. I only read the first half, since it seemed to be about to go for a lot of spoilers.
It's very, very good, however it's not a film for everyone. If I had to compare it to other films, I would say there are parts of "Gladiator's" organized fighting, "Lord of the Rings'" grand-scale battles, the "Thirteenth Warrior's" feel of going against the unknown depths of man with the stylistic feel of "Sin City."
And the movie is quite stylistic. Colors are stark and heavily contrasted. While it isn't as extreme as "Sin City," the feel of a comic book is present, and the entire film looks "different" than most film.

Comics Continuum has breakdowns of the first few episodes of the FF cartoon. The stories sounds pretty good, and I like waht I have seen of the art. This might be worth watching.
Johnny is put on trial for crimes against the Kree Empire by Ronan the Accuser after destroying the latest in a line of Kree Sentries, alien robots that have been observing the Fantastic Four.

Technology review has an article about the rise of spam related to the stock market. Sadly enough people are falling for it.
"It's not that it's just cheap to send, but it actually gets results," says Jonathan Zittrain, professor of Internet governance and regulation at Oxford University, and co-author of a new study, "Spam Works: Evidence from Stock Touts and Corresponding Market Activity."
