The Other is…

WTH is up with Marvel?

Since people seem confused; Spider-man got fatally sick and fought Morlun again. Morlun ate his eye, and was taken to the hospital. While infirmed, Morlun came to finish him off, and when he tried to attack MJ Peter jumped him, stabbed him with "stingers" from his wrists and then ate Morlun’s head. Pete died from his illness immediately afterwards, but at the end of the next issue his dead body was "open" like a husk. Now there is a new, "Other" Peter wandering around, who is supposed to have new/better powers and a new costume. In this scene he’s visting the body and wondering if he’s still him or something different entirely.

The Top Ten Japanese Things We Hope to Never See but Probably Will

Writing by Chris on Thursday, 29 of December , 2005 at 6:28 am

I have soooo seen some of these on the market.  And I think it was:

#10. OFFICIAL PLUS SIZED COSPLAY COSTUMES

{shudder}

Why am I here? As the title suggests I am here to present to you, our loyal viewer, The Top Ten Japanese Things We Hope to Never See but Probably Will. The following items, of course, do not yet exist but we feel are bound to exist sometime into the future. One of our predications at the time of this article being partially wrote but never published, actually has already occurred in a sense. Can you guess which one?

Honda Elder-ment? Older crowd goes for trendy rides

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 28 of December , 2005 at 1:50 pm

If my bum hip wasn’t acting up I would go surfing right now.  Damn statistics.  Get off of my lawn!

It turns out many of the people buying the Element aren’t the young surfers and mountain bikers Honda expected. It’s the same for many buyers of Toyota’s Scion models.

Captain Marvel, Jr.

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 28 of December , 2005 at 11:24 am

So I am reading the Wikipedia entry on Captian Marvel Jr. (lame) and noticed one interesting bit:

Elvis Presley was a big fan of Captain Marvel, Jr., and styled his trademark haircut after that of the comic book character. In addition, Elvis’ stage outfits (with a half-cape similar to those worn by the Marvels) and his TCB logo (with a Marvel-esque lightning bolt insignia) also show inspiration from Captain Marvel, Jr.

Quote of the Day

Mr. T, in the Sept. 1983 issue of Playboy

I am the best bodyguard, because I’ll take a bullet, I’ll take a stab wound, I’ll take a hit upside the head; I’m like a Kamikaze pilot. The President [Ronald Reagan] got shot because his men relaxed.

Photographer criticised

Writing by Chris on Wednesday, 28 of December , 2005 at 8:49 am

A photographer in China proved that people all over the world know funny, and that the Cinese government doesn’t.  When he "layed in wait" to take pictures of people hitting a pothole.

Liu defended himself, saying: "I just knew that the city government has paved the pit, and without my pictures, the pit would not be noticed by the government, and there would perhaps be more people falling over."

Comics on itunes?  What a country!

The “Comicast” is something of a hybrid between a simple digital version of a comic, CrossGen’s Comics on the Web (in terms of voice acting), and where things are headed, in that it has its own navigation system, which steers readers through the content. Undoubtedly, it will be analyzed, critiqued, and studied by those both on the sidelines of the downloadable comics game, as well as those in the figurative locker room, readying their own versions of downloadable comics.

Yours for £8,000: a trundling, talking, sexually confused robot that will look after your house.

Go Bender, its your brithday.

It may be the quirks that makes Wakamaru so fascinating. "One day I found him watching TV, which we never anticipated. Then sometimes he would start dancing. You never get bored because you never knew what he would do next," says Mr Ishihara.

About Me

This is it. I'm not looking to become an Internet star, or buy a house off by adsense moneyz. Though I am willing to go with the flow on either.

You may have noticed that I am not a graphic designer. Or a real programmer. Or race car driver, though that may not be as obvious from the site itself. I apologize for any mistakes, ommisions, or eye gouging graphics choices I may have perpetrated on anyone through ths page
