There is an interesting (though circular) arguement going on over at Slashdot about PDA’s vs. iPod, though I think its really about dedicated devices vs. All-In-One devices.
Given that modern PDAs have almost all the functionality of these separate devices, how has Palm and Microsoft/PocketPC developers failed in making PDAs a force in this new era of portable media devices? It is the poor marketing, bad media apps, public perception, or do people simply not want an all-in-one for mobile media?”

I’ve started doing some Ruby On Rails development, and I have to say I like it. This site was built in about a week on Rails, and works much closer to what I have always wanted from a news system.

Bluetooth vibrator. For real.
“The Toy is worn internally, linked to a mobile phone and controlled by sms text messages sent to the phone. Once read, the message is transported automatically to The Toy, which turns it into vibrations - with a huge range of movements, depending on what you have written. Just say what you feel, The Toy will do the rest.”

Go check out some nice reviews of horrible Halloween costumes.
“Zack: The only people who would wear a costume like this are the sort of cocky assholes who should have died in a drunk driving accident in the 11th grade, but somehow survived when they flipped their parents’ Lexus. They killed a family of four, and it should have driven them to suicide, but they are untouchable. It’s not that they’re evil, it’s that they don’t actually ever reflect on anything.”

First they stop us from choking our chickens, then they go after the flogging dolphins. Slippery slope my friends. Slippery slope.
“”A product description on the Web site of Jaycar Electronics, a major Australian importer of toy, says: ‘Grab him by the neck and he will squawk and cluck like mad, flapping his wings and feet wildly as if he is really being choked.’”

How about some high class Homer writing?
A limited production of 1000 fountain pens and rollerballs honoring the inimitable Homer Simpson. A rich lacquer finish over brass construction. The fountain pen is fitted with a gilt nib in medium only; filling by cartridge or the included converter.
